On Friday, April 30, 2021, the Division of Early Childhood Education Antiracist Coalition (DECE ARC) in collaboration with B4BL held a Day of Action to promote the end of G&T testing and programming in NYC public schools. Unite Against G&T originally started as a letter calling on Department Leadership to use this new normal to put into practice and action the recommendations set forth in the DOE SDAG II report that called for the eventual elimination of Gifted and Talented programming and instead pursue offering alternatives that support the enrichment of all students based on their needs. 

Separate, even under the guise of “giftedness,” will never be equal.
